Saco and our affiliated association's want to make it easier to both find the right information and to find a way to a career within your profession. "Omstart" is a unique website. It contains general information about the Swedish labour market and what makes it special. It also provides specific and important information regarding over 50 professions and their labour market in Sweden. There may be differences between Swedish conditions and the conditions in your home country for your profession when it comes to several aspects. You can find more detailed information about the profession's content, wage levels and regulatory framework in the section called "Your profession/education in Sweden".

"Omstart" is a website for you who are newly arrived in Sweden but not yet established on the Swedish labour market. The information on the site regards both how you can act on your own and what type of help you can get from the government and other organizations in order to get established on your new labour market. For example you can learn how to have your foreign university degree recognized in Sweden. It will make it easier for both you and a potential employer as you have a written statement recognizing your degree for your job application.
