The new Transition Agreement - what does it mean?

On June 25, Saco-S and the Swedish Agency for Government Employers concluded a new agreement concerning transition agreement, this agreement replaces, from 1 January 2015, the previous state Job Security Agreement. Transition agreement support consists of the measures employees are entitled to in the event that they are made redundant, or if their fixed-term contract expires. Support may consist, for example, of assistance from TRR (Job Security Foundation) to get a new job or start up a company, individual measures in the form of training, topping up of unemployment insurance up to 80% of actual salary or financial compensation when taking a new job with lower salary.
