Salary revision 2016

This autumn it's time to negotiate new salaries for our members, which will come into effect on 1st October 2016.

This autumn, in accordance with the collective wage agreement RALS-T, we will - as usual - negotiate new salaries for our members, which will come into effect on 1st October 2016. In order to get a fair salary increase, it is important that you not only speak to your head of department (or equivalent line manager) but also provide the union negotiators with arguments supporting your case. You are therefore kindly asked to fill in a salary questionnaire and return it to us no later than 15th September. Before filling in the questionnaire, take a look at the university's current salary criteria.

The questionnaire is available here on the web page, where you can also read about the negotiation and the salary revision process, together with who you should send your questionnaire to. The link to the questionnaire is here.

Note: this does NOT apply to Ph.D. students.  Salaries for Ph.D. students are negotiated as a group, so if you are a Ph.D. student you do not have to send anything to us.

Some departments/units within our university carry out the salary revision through a direct salary dialogue (lönesättande samtal) between the employee and the employer (valid only for Saco-members). These units are: IMT, KFU, TFK, MFK, FFK, UB, UF, CBR, NSC and CMIV, as well as heads of division at ISV. This year we will also introduce direct salary dialogues at IEI, VS-division at IMH as well as for heads of division at IKE, ISY and IMH. Those at IEI and VS at IMH who do not wish to participate in the salary dialogue can – this year only – opt for the union to negotiate their salaries in the usual way (in which case, you must inform your line manager of your decision, in accordance with the information that your employer will provide you with).

Those of you who will have a direct salary dialogue do not need to respond to the questionnaire. Instead, you should read the following document (available only in Swedish), written jointly by the employer and union, describing the procedure of the direct salary dialogue. You are also welcome to contact us if you feel you need any advice before the direct salary dialogue. In the first instance, you should contact Inger Borg, Eva-Lisa Holm-Granath, Wolfgang Schmidt or Anita Utterström.

We also want to inform you about two meetings on the subject of salary dialogue for our members at IEI where we will explain how this salary dialogue works:

  1. A joint meeting (with both employer and union representatives), 13th September 15:00-17:00, in A1, A-building, Campus Valla
  2. Meeting for members only (i.e. without any employer representative), 21st September 13:00-15:00

The meetings will also be an opportunity to ask questions and for further discussion. Employees at IEI will receive a separate invitation for these meetings later on but we want to inform you now so that you can book the time in your diary. Note that the meetings will be held in Swedish.

Apart from that we will organize a joint with the employer meeting about salary dialogue, 15th September, 15:00-17:00 (in Key 1 in Key-building, Valla); the employer will later send an invitation for this meeting.
